Abstract. Non-destructive testing (NDT) is an important area of research, dealing with diagnostic and monitoring the health of electrical transmission networks and find automatically the failures. One of the recently developed (NDT) techniques is time Domain Reflectometry methods, they are quite efficient for detecting important damage (hard faults), such as short or open-circuits. Understanding the time domain reflectograms is easy in the case of a simple wire, but it is more difficult when the structure under-test becomes more complex.
